CRAWL OF TIME - Demons In My Sleep
In a scene where posturing and sloganeering are often the prevalent form of discourse, the candor and sincerity conveyed within Demons In My Sleep is unique. In no way purely rhetorical, there is a message being communicated to those who need to hear it. This is not the sound Samuel Torres battling with his demons, but rather a communing with these intangible spirits and a vow to pass their lessons forward. An acceptance of things which have transpired, and a commitment to making sure they are never forgotten or repeated. Crawl of Time is building a new structural schematic using many of the same tools as his work in Terror Cell Unit, but moving in far more introspective channels reflective of the growth and knowledge gained through pain. Demons In My Sleep is a towering rhythmic construction that could only be achieved in tandem with the firm hands of the closest of spiritual brothers – Mack Chami, Jackson Abdul- Salaam, Grant Richardson – and now entrusted into the care of that same circle, as well as Deterge, in the shape of newly remixed presentations exclusive to this World Asylum edition.
